A regional association gave us the opportunity to design and deliver a training course for 20 communication officers operating in local water utility companies. Their goal was to better understand what sustainability means and how to communitate the environmental and societal committment of their organizations. 5 full training days were scheduled, 2 in presence and 3 from remote.
Our results?
- The training spanned over several topics, including deep dives into the language and the storytelling around sustainability, stakeholder engagement, the communication strategy and plan. Specific sessions focused on sustainability washing and crisis communication
- Each training day combined lectures and hands-on exercises, to be managed individually or in small groups
- Over 80% of the registered people joined all training days; 100% of attendees valued the training and its contents as very good/excellent
- Some attendees are now discussing how to implement the ideas shared during the training
